LEAD development programme
Rotana launched General Manager
Development Programme, LEAD,
that aimed at improving their skill
sets to ‘stay in the competitive
market’. This was held at a
Development Centre, which
we regard as one of the most
accurate and valid tools for the
identification of development
needs.
It utilises a range of job
simulations, ability tests and
personality questionnaires, which
reflect the essential behavioral
elements of the role. The process
is based on a standardised
process to drive objectivity and
fairness and is widely regarded
as one of the most accurate and
valid procedures of determining
an individual’s strengths and
development areas.
Development Internship
Programme
Rotana offers three to six
months Internship to students
from recognised colleges and
universities with direct coaching
and competencies development.
Development
Developing our colleagues and talents is
a central component of our learning and
development strategy. We offer an array of
learning opportunities for colleagues across
the company. Among the many different
programmes Rotana has established to
develop for our people, we have launched
two strategic programmes, committed to
nurturing and developing our colleagues
and talent. These are only one part of the
development equation that feeds into our
succession development plan.

Promotion and Inter-company Transfer
To demonstrate the company’s
commitment to career development, the
Promotion and Inter-company Transfer
policies reward high performing colleagues
by promoting them or transferring them to
other Rotana properties thereby retaining
knowledge and skills within the company.
In the process, we motivate and
encourage colleagues to participate in
their own self development and strengthen
the image of Rotana as a preferred
employer. A minimum notice period of
one month is given to colleagues before an
approved inter-property transfer is done.
